David Wrucke
David is a research assistant and has been a member of the lab since 2020. He completed his master's degree in Exercise & Rehabilitation Science at Marquette in 2023 where his research primarily focused on the mechanisms for the loss of lower limb strength and power with aging. He graduated with his bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette in 2021 where he was Public Health & Equity fellow and a member of the interdisciplinary Covid-19 Summer Research Program. He has been involved in many Covid-19-related research projects, including studies of mask-wearing behavior and the impact of the pandemic on students studying the health sciences.
Currently, his research primarily focuses on a blood flow restriction training program to improve strength and fatigability in older adults.
Outside of the lab, David enjoys watching Milwaukee Brewers baseball games, reading, and spending time with family.
